About us
Goggle Box TV &
Video is a well established Bristol-based company providing
a repair and retail service to Bristol and the South West
since 1988.
The business started
by Ken Orchard began its life in Whitchurch Village and it
quickly established a good reputation for delivering good
service.
We soon outgrew
these premises and in 2002 the business relocated to the
Wells Road, in Knowle. Here the business really took off,
establishing a strong customer base and service capability.
Before we knew it in 2006 if was time to move again. The
repairs part of our business had grown significantly, space
was becoming a real problem and those of you that had seen
the shop will know exactly what is meant by that!
Now in 2007 we have closed our retail outlet on the
Wells Road in Knowle. Our business now runs from Cater
Road Head Office. This purpose built building houses our
customer reception, repair centre and offices.
REPAIRS

location. See our find us page

THANK YOU
We would like to
take this opportunity to thank ALL of our customers, from

continued mutually beneficial and successful relationship in
the future
INVESTORS IN PEOPLE
Goggle Box TV &
Video became an ‘Investor in People’ in January 2005.
Investors in People is the national Standard which sets out
a level of good practice for training and development of
people to achieve business goals. The Standard was developed
during 1990 by the National Training Task Force in
partnership with leading national businesses, personnel,
professional and employee organisations such as the
Confederation of British Industry (CBI), Trades Union
Congress (TUC) and the Institute of Personnel and
Development (IPD).
The work was supported by the Employment
Department. The experiences of the UK's most successful
organisations, large and small, representing all sectors of
the UK economy, were very positive and the Standard received
the full endorsement of wide range of interested parties.
The Standard
provides a national framework for improving business
performance and competitiveness, through a planned approach
to setting and communicating business objectives and
developing people to meet these objectives. The result is -
what people can and are motivated to do matches what the
organisation needs them to do. Investors in People is
cyclical and should engender the culture of continuous
improvement.

NATIONAL BUSINESS AWARDS

GoggleBox TV & Video were proud to be finalists for
‘Growth Strategy of the Year’ as part of the National
Business awards regional programme.
The judges of this Award looked
for the organisation that could best demonstrate an
organic growth strategy (rather than merger &
acquisition activity) and that has achieved outstanding
levels of sales, profit and market share improvement.
This category was open to individuals in private and
public sector organisations.
Our application was chosen from
thousands of entries and we were invited to present to a
panel in May 2006.
We were invited to a glittering
award ceremony in London in July 2006, we did not win
the award, but we were proud to be recognised as a
finalist.
We did however win a highly
coveted commendation for our application for the
‘Business Improvement Through People’ Award. The Award
is open to all organisations regardless of turnover and
number of employees. The judges will look for the
organisation that can best demonstrate how its people
development strategies have improved its performance and
created a committed, motivated and effective workforce.
This complement our status as an ‘Investor in People’
